Kyle Cooper
Assistant Coach - 1st Season
Cooper joins the Trojans for his 1st year as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. Coach Cooper's responsibilities include recruiting, strength and conditioning, player development, and scouting.
Originally from West Plains, Missouri, Coach Cooper has been successful as a basketball player. In high school, Cooper averaged 22 points per game and 8 rebounds per game his senior year and was selected to the 5A All-State team. He then continued on to play at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas and here as a NIACC Trojan. While playing for NIACC in the 08-09 season he was awarded 1st Team All-Region averaging 17 points per game. Cooper hit over 160 three pointers in his two years of JUCO basketball.
Cooper currently lives in Mason City with his girlfriend, Nicole and dog, Vinny.
Jeremy Winters
Assistant Coach - 1st Season
Winters recently moved to Mason City after graduating from Waldorf College with a Bachelor's Degree in Wellness. He finished his collegiate career playing at Waldorf in the 2009-2010 season and received All-Conference Honorable Mention. In the season of 2010-11 he student coached at Waldorf for both varsity and junior varsity programs.
Winters attended high school at MFL-MarMac in Monona, Iowa, where he received an All-Conference award and Player of the Week from KCTN radio. After high school he attended Upper Iowa and then transferred to Iowa Lakes where he received All-Academic All-Region.
Winters is also part of NIACC's security staff.
